Summary of reasons for supporting the application to register the 2 plots at Bowring Close as village green.
These are submitted as part of the 8-week consultation, beginning 10th July and ending not before 23rd August 2024.
An application by the Parish Council to have Bowring Close, Coxley, registered as a Village Green was made in February 2024.
The next stage in the process is to serve notice and advertise the application for a period of not less than 6 weeks during which time objections to the application can be lodged. This is usually done by:
- Giving notice to every person that is believed to have an interest in the land or is likely to wish to object to the application.
- Publish the notice in local newspaper, this will include details of where the application can be viewed.
- Affixing a notice of the application and plan on the land, either at each access point or on some conspicuous object.
- Make the application available for public inspection – the Town/ Parish and District Councils will be asked to keep a full copy of the application (including evidence forms) on deposit for inspection.
The Parish Council will be advised whether any objections have been received by August Bank Holiday.
