Footpaths & Rights Of Way

The first survey walk of the Council's Rights Of Way group takes place on Tuesday 25th May. (They will not be aiming to cover all the footpaths that day!)

The countryside of St Cuthbert (Out) Parish is criss-crossed with bridleways and footpaths.

Mendip AONB have a series of walking guides available.

Our designated Parish Public Footpaths Officers are Cllr Ian Humphreys and Cllr Paul Cannon. Recognised footpaths and bridleways can be found at Roam Somerset, maintained by Somerset County Council.

There are two national trails in the parish: The Mendip Way that begins in Weston-Super-Mare and ends in Frome. The Monarchs Way goes north-south across the Parish, and is 651 miles in total, charting the journey of King Charles II after the Battle of Worcester in 1651.
