Milton Lodge Gardens
The sloping ground, offering delicious views across Wells, the Cathedral and the vale of Avalon, were designed and formed into a series of terraces in the early 20th century by Charles Tudway, who made the house his family's primary residence.
The Coombe
The Coombe is an early 19th century walled pleasure ground, built as part of Milton Lodge and is a long, narrow valley planted with a variety of established trees. It is laid to lawn in the southern part of the valley and a range of native and exotic trees grace the sides.
