St Cuthbert Parish & St Cuthbert Ward: what is the difference?

For the gentleman at the Haybridge Noticeboard, and all residents who may also ponder which St Cuthbert area is which...

Wells City Council has 3 sections or 'wards': Wells St Thomas (north & east), Wells Central (in the middle!) & Wells St Cuthberts (south and west)

St Cuthbert's WARD therefore refers to the area between St Cuthberts Church and out to Keward, Charter Way, Burcott Road, the East Somerset Way, Rowdens Road, & out to Vicarage Fields on the Glastonbury Road.

Beyond the City, is the PARISH of St Cuthbert, which itself has 4 wards: North, South, East and West - also illustrated in a lovely map HERE.

So yes, if you are walking up Portway to Haybridge or Wookey Hole Road to Priory Fields or Wookey Hole, there will be a point where you in St Cuthbert Ward with one foot and St Cuthbert (Out) Parish with the other.
